Mama June’s daughter, Lauryn «Pumpkin» Efird, has ended her marriage.
On August 1, the star of «Mama June: Family Crisis» filed for divorce from her husband of six years, Joshua Efird, stating that their marriage is «irretrievably broken». The former couple, who have four children — Ella, 6, Bentley, 3, and twins Silas and Stella, 2 — have been living separately since July, according to Lauryn and their property settlement agreement.
According to court documents, the couple has agreed to joint legal and physical custody. They also have a parenting plan in place as part of the property settlement agreement, and both have waived their right to seek child support.
Josh, 28, has been given 60 days to remove his belongings from the family’s shared home in Georgia, as Lauryn, 24, will be handling the property on her own, according to the documents.
Pumpkin and Josh got married in 2018, almost six months after the birth of their first child together.
«They say [children] change everything, but honestly, I think a child is what we needed in our relationship», - she told Us Weekly in 2018. «We've gotten closer than ever. We both help each other out. Now it’s like teamwork».
Lauryn often praised her husband’s skills as a father on social media. Although she has posted less this year, in a June 2022 Instagram post, she called Josh the «BEST dad I’ve ever known».
«All my life I prayed for God to send me someone I could have a family with and love forever, and he sent me you. Thank you for being the best dad to all of our kids, including Alana», - she wrote in the caption, referring to her younger sister, Alana «Honey Boo Boo» Thompson.
«You never stopped showing up and showing the kids what a real man is. I will forever be grateful to you. Me and the kids love you so much».
As they said at the time, they were trying to do everything possible to move forward and stay united, with Pumpkin noting, «We are trying to put our marriage first».
