Ryan Seacrest completed his first day on «Wheel of Fortune»! Celebrating his new job as host of the game show, 49-year-old Ryan posted a video from the set on Instagram.

A year ago, it was announced that Ryan would be taking over from former «Wheel of Fortune» host Pat Sajak. Pat, 77, had been the host for four decades from 1981 to 2024, and decided to retire. Last month, Pat finished his final show with a modest speech.
«Well, it’s time to say goodbye», - Pat began. «I have a few thank-yous and acknowledgments before I go, and I want to start with those who watch. It has been an incredible privilege to be invited into millions of homes night after night, year after year, decade after decade. I’ve always felt that privilege comes with the responsibility to keep this daily hour-and-a-half broadcast a safe place for family entertainment».
The longtime game show host continued, stating that his time as host was without «social issues. No politics. Hopefully, nothing awkward». Pat also described «Wheel of Fortune» as «more than» just a game show, adding that it had become «a place where kids learned their letters, where people from other countries honed their English skills, where families gathered with friends and neighbors, and whole generations».
Ryan, for his part, shared a message on Instagram for Pat after his final day on air. The post included a group photo with him, Pat, and Vanna White.
«Pat, congratulations on an incredible run on 'Wheel of Fortune'!» wrote the American Idol host. «Your dedication, charm, and wit made the show a beloved part of American television for decades.
