A rare demo recording by Taylor Swift was sold at auction for $ 12,505

Although it may be hard to remember a time when Taylor Swift was not the most popular pop star in the world, there was a time when the singer was also distributing her demo material. A disc with recordings from before her fame was recently sold at a Goldin auction for a whopping $ 12,505. The rare disc was also signed by the singer herself, 34-year-old, making it even more special.

The disc featured Taylor’s full name in a fantasy font. On one side was a portrait of a young teenage Taylor, next to it was a tracklist. At the bottom of the disc was also listed a phone number, email address, and Taylor’s website URL. It was there that Taylor signed the disc with a black marker. Goldin noted that the autograph had been authenticated, and a certificate of authenticity would be sent to the buyer.
