Raven-Symoné talks about regret over breast surgery

Raven-Symoné admitted that she regrets the breast reduction surgery she underwent as a teenager. In an interview with the podcast «Allure Perspectives» on October 5, 2024, the actress noted that she had two surgeries when she was a minor and now believes she was too young to make such a decision.
She added that the surgery was done too hastily, and she should have waited until she completed puberty. Raven-Symoné also mentioned that, although she likes the result of the surgery, she wishes she had been strong enough to refuse the procedure. The actress joked that she never felt uncomfortable because of her large breasts.
Raven-Symoné shared that she currently feels 80% confident in her body, whereas during her popularity on Disney Channel, her confidence was only at 10%. She also recalled that her first breast reduction surgery occurred when she was 15 years old, and that she simultaneously had liposuction, hoping it would help eliminate accusations of being overweight.
The surgeries were accompanied by complications, including seizures she experienced after anesthesia. The actress also noted that she has scars from the procedure and that after the surgeries, she had to return to the doctor to reduce her breasts again, as they were still considered too large by those around her. Raven-Symoné emphasized that times have changed, and there is now a more positive perception of body image, which was not present in her youth.
