Raven-Symoné defends Kelly Clarkson in store conflict
Raven-Symoné defended Kelly Clarkson amid the singer’s conflict with the Art of Play store in Brooklyn. On the October 14 episode of The View, the actress noted that it is unfair that Clarkson cannot express her feelings due to her large number of followers. She recalled how in 2016 she faced a similar situation when her comments about disrespect on the red carpet sparked a strong reaction.

Raven-Symoné emphasized that she understands Clarkson’s feelings, who became the subject of discussion last weekend after stating that she was treated like a character from the movie «Pretty Woman» in the store. Clarkson wanted to buy an animatronic bird priced at $ 15,000, but was told that this model was not for sale. In response, the price of the bird was raised to $ 15 million.

The actress also noted that Clarkson grew up in financial hardship, and if someone touches on her «trigger» regarding money, it can evoke strong emotions in her. Raven-Symoné added that in her opinion, if Clarkson had behaved like other customers, it might have created the impression that they could not afford it.

Additionally, Raven-Symoné commented on the words of the store’s co-owner Adam Rubin, who claimed that Clarkson’s tweet jeopardized the store and its employees. She expressed confusion over Rubin blaming Clarkson, stating that she did not call for an attack on the store but merely expressed her opinion.
