Who could object to the premiere of the prequel series «Legally Blonde»? Reese Witherspoon took the stage at the first Amazon presentation in New York on Tuesday, May 14, to hint at the upcoming show. In her characteristic style, the 48-year-old actress dressed in the pink outfit of her character — and even brought Bruiser!
Not only did she dress up as the iconic lawyer, but Reese also demonstrated the memorable «bend and snap», - according to social media videos taken at the event. A little later, the star of «The Morning Show» told the audience that she and Amazon had «cooked up» an «origin story» for Elle.
«So, here I am to tell you the most amazing news — we’re going back to high school with Elle!» Reese said as the crowd applauded.
The prequel series is called «Elle» and was created by Amazon Studios MGM and Hello Sunshine. The official logo reads: «Elle follows Elle Woods in high school, where we learn about the life experiences that shaped her into the iconic young woman we loved in the first 'Legally Blonde' movie».
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Reese expressed her excitement to release the show.
