MTV officially canceled «Ridiculousness» after an incredible 46 seasons and nearly 1,700 episodes. The decision was not due to poor ratings — in fact, the show remained one of the network’s most popular programs — but rather was part of a larger programming shift under Paramount Global. After the company merged with Skydance Media, MTV announced plans to focus on new formats and «fresh creative voices», - signaling the end of Dyrdek’s long-running series.

According to TMZ, the decision was communicated to the actors and crew when the current season was announced as the show’s last. Existing episodes will continue to air until 2026, but new episodes will not be produced.

Dyrdek earned a significant fortune during his time on «Ridiculousness». Bankruptcy data and a report from Bloomberg showed that Dyrdek was earning at least $ 32.5 million per year from the show. Breaking it down per episode: his on-camera fee was around $ 61,000 per episode, and his producing fee was approximately $ 21,000 per episode, with some potential future contracts estimating up to $ 101,000 per episode.

Combining hosting, producing, and licensing deals, Dyrdek solidified his status as one of the highest-paid stars on the network.

By 2025, Dyrdek’s net worth is estimated to be around $ 200 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Dyrdek first made a name for himself as a professional skateboarder, securing major sponsorship deals and building his initial fortune through advertising agreements. He later transitioned to television, starring in MTV hits like «Rob & Big» and «Fantasy Factory» before launching «Ridiculousness», - which became a cultural phenomenon. Behind the scenes, Dyrdek’s company, Superjacket Productions, produced several of his shows, giving him ownership stakes that increased his earnings. In addition to television, he founded Dyrdek Machine, a venture creation studio that invests in startups and consumer brands, further expanding his empire
