A man suspected of murdering his wife has been arrested in Virginia. Roger Paul Bradford called a relative and confessed to shooting Lisa E. Bradford on September 22, after which he fled the state, leading to a multi-state search operation for him.
According to Loudoun County Sheriff Michael L. Chapman, the incident occurred around 12:10 PM when law enforcement arrived at the scene and found 54-year-old Lisa dead in their home in Aldie. Roger, 60, is believed to have left in a rented vehicle. He was soon located and arrested by Pennsylvania police in Bedford around 3:15 PM the same day. He has been charged with first-degree murder and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
The couple had three children, including one teenager and two college students, who were not home at the time of the incident. Lisa worked as a realtor and had been with the national company Compass since 2021. A company representative expressed condolences regarding her death. The motives for the crime have not been specified; however, investigators believe the incident was «domestic» in nature and poses no threat to the public. Roger will be extradited from Pennsylvania to Virginia for further proceedings. It is unclear whether he has an attorney.
