A well-known realtor from Virginia, Lisa E. Bradford, was shot by her husband, Roger Paul Bradford, who allegedly kept a list of people he planned to kill, according to authorities. The incident occurred on September 22 at their home in Loudoun County.
After the murder, Roger, 60, left Virginia but was soon arrested in Pennsylvania when he was spotted in a rented car. A search of the vehicle uncovered his journal, which contained a list of victims, including Lisa. Investigators stated that Roger wrote in the journal that «Lisa should be killed on Tuesday», - which coincided with the day of her death, just days before their 22nd anniversary.
Roger Bradford is charged with second-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm. At a court hearing on October 7, Loudoun County prosecutor Jason Fowle stated that the charge could be upgraded to first-degree murder, as there is «clear evidence of intent». Roger also indicated that he wants to represent himself in court and waived his bail hearing, stating, «I am where I need to be».
Lisa Bradford, who was 54 years old, worked for the national real estate company Compass and was the mother of three children. Her mother, Mary Arquette, created a GoFundMe page to support the children and described Lisa as «a warm, caring, and truly wonderful person».
