The former star of the children’s show Dance Moms was rumored to be dating Chris Hughes, with whom she seemed to be getting closer during the 24th season of the show. Although both denied the rumors of romantic relationships, their chemistry is undeniable. So is it true — are Jojo and Chris dating?

Jojo and Chris met on the 24th season of Celebrity Big Brother UK, and it was very clear to viewers that they had chemistry. At the time, Jojo was still in a relationship with her current ex-partner, Kat Ebbs, who said in an April 2025 Instagram video that Jojo left them at a party after the finale of the 24th season of Celebrity Big Brother.
«I flew here [to London], and I went to the live show to support my partner and support him in his experience and, obviously, I wanted to express my feelings of hurt and work through them, as all relationships do», - Kat said in the clip. «But before I even got back to the hotel, I went to a party with my, I guess now ex, and I was left at the party. I was told there were 'mixed feelings' there, do what you want with that, and that they realized in the house that I wasn’t the person they wanted to spend their foreseeable future with».
Jojo addressed their breakup in a subsequent interview on This Morning. She noted, «Initially I was told that they [Kat] didn’t want to attend the party after filming, and then an hour into the party after filming they decided they did. And I was really just going to talk about it before that and… they straight up asked me if I was happy, and I said, 'No'».
During Celebrity Big Brother UK, Jojo stated that she no longer identifies as gay, but rather as queer.
There is a 10-year age difference between Chris and Jojo. She is currently 22 years old, while the British TV presenter is 32 years old as of June 2025.
Jojo and Chris deny the rumors of their relationship, as they both appeared on This Morning in April 2025 and called their connection platonic. However, the couple has appeared in social media posts together, and fans were convinced that this was a sign of romantic involvement
