Model Rome Stride, known as a Victoria’s Secret angel, shared her feelings about not being selected to participate in the 2026 fashion show. In a TikTok video posted on October 12, she revealed that she received a rejection from the casting team, which, according to her, felt that she «looked great» but was not suitable for the show this year.
Stride noted that she learned about her «release» from participation through her agency, which came as a surprise to her. She expressed dissatisfaction with feeling «left in the dark» and stated that she does not plan to participate in casting calls anymore, as it left her with an unpleasant impression. «I don’t like how I’ve been treated», - she added, emphasizing that she wants to keep positive memories of past shows.
In a separate video, she mentioned that she auditioned in September and trained over the summer, hoping to walk the runway again after having children. Stride, who has two daughters, pointed out that she expected a prompt response but did not receive any news for several weeks. She continued to ask her agency about her status, but was told that she was still on the «maybe» list.
The show is set to take place on October 18, and fans have already begun discussing the lineup, expressing dissatisfaction that influencers are participating instead of «the old angels».
