2 march 2025 в 22:13
The real story was adapted by Hulu into a documentary series, which was released on February 27th. It features raw footage obtained from a former YouTuber, as well as reports from her husband, their two children, and others.
To learn more about her husband, their current family situation, and other details, keep reading below.
Ruby and Kevin are still married, although Kevin filed for divorce in 2023. In an interview with PEOPLE, published on February 26, 2025, he mentioned that they are «trying to reach an agreement» and described the process as «long, over a year», but noted that they are «close» to completing it.
When Ruby was arrested, Kevin informed the police that they were separated, and he agreed not to contact her or the children under her care, according to court documents. In an interview before the premiere of the documentary, he shared with PEOPLE that Jodi used «indoctrination, coercion, and gaslighting» to manipulate him, making him believe that he was the problem in the family, which led him to move out.
Kevin has not been arrested or charged with any crimes.
The eldest, Shari and Chad, now 21 and 20 years old respectively, are living their lives and hoping to gain a sense of agency in how they choose to share (or not share) their experiences with others. Kevin also told the publication in February 2025 that he has started a family tradition of inviting them to Sunday dinners
