Ryan Gosling and Mike Day, well, looked pretty cool, right, Butt-Head? Both actors were dressed in their costumes from a recent Saturday Night Live sketch when they attended the premiere of Ryan’s new movie «Undercover» on Tuesday, April 30th. Ryan, 43, and Mike, 44, were dressed as Beavis and Butt-Head respectively as they walked the red carpet at the event.
Both actors wore long tube socks and black sneakers for the red carpet. Ryan had a huge blond wig to mimic Beavis' hairstyle. He was also wearing a blue t-shirt with the words «Death Rock» and black shorts. Mike wore a dark gray t-shirt with the word «Skull» and red shorts. He also wore a brown wig styled upwards, and he stuck out his lips to show his gums with braces, similar to Butt-Head. Although in the show Beavis and Butt-Head wear Metallica and AC/DC t-shirts, much of their merchandise has branding of «Death Rock» and «Skull».
Both actors first showed off their costumes, inspired by the 90s cartoon, in the SNL sketch when Ryan hosted on April 13th. In the sketch, Kenan Thompson plays a professor giving a lecture on the dangers of artificial intelligence when he is interrupted by Ryan and Mike due to their resemblance to Beavis and Butt-Head. Although both claim they don’t know the show, their laughter really resembles the characters, and viewers tweet references to the show, further derailing the conversation. The clip was really funny, and even led to many cast members breaking character to laugh during the live broadcast. The sketch became a hit and garnered over 13 million views on YouTube at the time of publication.
Although Ryan’s Beavis-inspired look definitely caught attention, it wasn’t the only outfit he wore to the «Undercover» premiere! He also wore a pastel green suit on the red carpet, where he posed with his co-star Emily Blunt, who was dressed in a stunning orange dress
