Sabrina Carpenter may have already released the summer hit «Espresso», but she may have some competition for the title of album of the summer when she releases her upcoming album «Short n' Sweet» in a few months. Sabrina announced the album title and release date on Monday, June 3. She also shared the cover, featuring her with a deep red lipstick mark on her back against a blue background. On the other side of the album, there appears to be a picture of her from behind with a tattoo that reads the album title.
Although it’s a bit late to dominate the entire summer season, Sabrina announced that «Short n' Sweet» will be available everywhere on August 23.
Before the album release, Sabrina released the lead singles «Espresso» and «Please Please Please» in April and June respectively. Both songs were hugely successful, dominating the Billboard charts. Taylor Swift even declared it as «Sabrina's Summer» in a supportive post.
Sabrina presented the tracklist with an 80s-style commercial video on her Instagram. With a narrator detailing album details, the clip was accompanied by an instrumental version of «Espresso», and featured a singer «Nonsense» dancing in a way reminiscent of 80s aerobics videos.
