Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega just gifted everyone their dream horror movie. The 25-year-old pop star released her music video for the song «Taste» on Friday, August 23, and they created a bloody massacre on screen. They start the video as sworn enemies, but end it as best friends.
The video begins with the «Girl Meets World» alum applying lipstick and grabbing a large knife. She then bursts through the mansion door to seek revenge on her clearly ex-boyfriend for reuniting with his ex-girlfriend (played by Jenna).
«I heard you’re back together, and if that’s true», - Sabrina sings in the chorus. «You'll just have to feel me when he’s kissing you / If you want eternity, I think you do / Just know you’ll feel me too».
In true «Kill Bill» style, Sabrina wields a large dagger, but Jenna outplays her with a silver gun and throws her out the window. Sabrina falls onto a fence and gets a bleeding wound. However, she manages to throw the knife right into Jenna’s eye.
Despite their horrific injuries, they attempt to kill each other throughout the entire video. Every time Jenna thinks she’s defeated Sabrina, the «Feather» artist somehow resurrects and they torture each other again. At one point, they try to torture each other using Voodoo dolls. Jenna’s back breaks, and Sabrina is set on fire as the «Beetlejuice» star emits a sinister laugh.
Perhaps the biggest moment fans are talking about is the kiss shared by Sabrina and Jenna, illustrating the pop star’s lyrics: «You'll just have to feel me when he’s kissing you». When Jenna kisses her boyfriend, he is replaced by Sabrina. Although the «Stuck in the Middle» actress thinks she’s killed Sabrina again, the Disney Channel alum appears next to her, revealing that Jenna accidentally killed the boyfriend.
At the end of the video, Sabrina and Jenna attend his funeral. Instead of joining the other mourners, the main characters smile at each other and walk away.
