Two weeks after Rebel Wilson revealed that she mentions Sacha Baron Cohen in her memoir «Rising Rebel», the 52-year-old comedian and his wife, Isla Fisher, announced their divorce. According to a statement released on Friday, April 5, the former spouses announced that they separated last year.
«After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting down our rackets. The news came two weeks after Rebel, 44, revealed that Sacha — the «son of a bitch» she mentions in her memoir — accusing him of inappropriate behavior on the set of their film «The Brothers Grimsby».
«I wrote about the son of a bitch in my book. Now, this very son of a bitch is trying to threaten me», - said the actress of «Pitch Perfect» in a now-deleted video on Instagram. «He hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers. He is trying to stop the publication of information about my book. But the book will come out, and you will all learn the truth».
In her book, which was released on Tuesday, April 2, Rebel wrote about her alleged experience working with the star of «The Trial of the Chicago 7» on the set of their comedy film «The Brothers Grimsby».
