Season 49 of the popular CBS reality show «Survivor» has concluded with one winner: Savannah Louis. The former journalist, now a marketing strategist, was crowned the champion of the 2025 season after demonstrating her dominant strength and receiving the most votes from the final council.
«I didn’t come here to set records. I didn’t come here to make history in Survivor in that way. I came here to be a winner», - Savannah said earlier in the show.

The finalists of Survivor’s 49th season included: winner Savannah, second place Sophie Balerdi from Miami, third place Sage Ahren-Nichols from Roxboro, North Carolina, fourth place Rizo Velovich from Yonkers, New York, and fifth place Christina Mills from Houston, Texas.
Savannah hails from the small town of Walnut Creek, California.
Television was not a completely new world for Savannah, although reality TV is a different sphere. She is a former journalist who worked at KSDK in St. Louis, Missouri, WANF in Atlanta, Georgia, and KENS in San Antonio, Texas, according to USA Today.
Savannah decided to leave her journalism job at the end of 2024, as seen from her Instagram. In September, she announced that she was ending her career as a reporter.
«When I reflected on my time in news, I have to thank many of you», - Savannah wrote in her Instagram post while working at ANF (Atlanta News First). «Being a journalist was more fulfilling than I ever dreamed, and I am grateful to many of you for your support. Special thanks to those who trusted me to share their personal stories, as well as my family and friends for their support on the toughest days and to a few former colleagues for their inspiration over the years».
Savannah then explained why she chose journalism, noting that she was «motivated by a desire to make the world a better place».
«We cannot drive change in our community without being aware of what is happening in our community», - Savannah added in her post. «I thought that if I could tell at least one good story, help one person, or inspire even the slightest progress, I could leave a positive mark on the world. Ten years and thousands of stories later, I hope I was able to achieve that goal»
