Savannah Chrisley opens up about the pros and cons of her long-distance relationship with Robert Shyver. Although the couple has been dating for nine months, the inability to see each other regularly has proven to be a bit challenging.

«Long-distance relationships, they suck», - Savannah, 26, shared in an episode of her podcast «Unlocked» on May 29. «At first they seem easy, but then, when you have important moments in your life and holidays, and you can’t spend them together, it’s hard. So right now I’m just trying to get through this next chapter of my personal relationships».

Savannah, who has custody of her brother Grayson, 18, and niece Chloe, 11, while her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley serve prison sentences for federal tax crimes, has been dating Robert, 38, since last summer. The duo announced their relationship on Instagram in November 2023 and made their first red carpet appearance together in February 2024 at a fundraiser event Melodies For Minds.

Although long-distance relationships can be difficult, Savannah said she hopes things will get easier as summer approaches. «We will be spending a lot of time together», - she said. «I think it’s another interesting thing that will happen, we will be there and spend time with Robert and his family and friends, who have become close friends to me».

Robert is a former Auburn University football player with three children from his ex-wife Lindsey Shyver. This summer, Savannah hopes to devote more time to her relationship, even with family obligations.

«It's also difficult because he has kids, and I have Chloe and Grayson», - she explained. «We really never have time just for the two of us. We need to better prioritize that».

In a previous episode of her podcast, Savannah shared a moment of connection she developed with Robert’s children. After watching some «bonus parent» accounts on TikTok and Instagram, the Nashville realtor realized that it’s important to just be there.

«I will love them. I will be present. I will do all of this, and it’s only because I love them», - she said in April. «That's it. I love them, so I will be present»
