Sean «Diddy» Combs was sentenced to 50 months — four years and two months — of prison for his admission to two cases of transporting for prostitution. The highly publicized trial of the rapper shook the nation as some of Diddy’s former girlfriends, including Cassie Ventura, provided graphic and emotional testimonies of his violence. However, there is a small chance that Combs may be pardoned by Donald Trump, if the president agrees.
One of Combs' defense team members previously told CNN that someone from their team had contacted the White House regarding a possible pardon. «I know that we have reached out and had conversations about a pardon», - said lawyer Nicole Westmoreland.

Combs was sentenced to four years and two months of prison. Judge Arun Subramanian handed down the sentence to the music mogul at a court hearing on October 3, 2025, where Combs' children spoke in defense of his character and asked for mercy.
Combs was found guilty of two counts of violating the Mann Act for transporting for prostitution. He was acquitted of two counts of racketeering conspiracy and one count of sex trafficking with Ventura.
At the time of publication, there is no guarantee that Combs will be pardoned by the president. However, Trump told reporters on October 6, 2025, that he may «consider» pardoning both Combs and Ghislaine Maxwell.
«You know, I haven’t heard that name in so long», - Trump said of Maxwell. «I can say that I need to look at it. I need to look. … I will look at it … many people have asked me for pardons». The Republican then noted that «Puff Daddy» also asked for a pardon.
During a previous interview with Newsmax, Trump said he is unlikely to pardon the rapper.
«I was very friendly with him», - Trump said, adding, «We got along great and he seemed like a good guy to me. I didn’t know him very well. But when I was running for office, he was very hostile»
