Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco proudly admitted their love for each other after making their relationship public last year. So why did fans suddenly think they were engaged? Apparently, one photo of the actress from the series «Wizards of Waverly Place» caused a flurry of rumors on social media.
Neither Selena nor Benny have confirmed whether they are engaged or not. However, social media users noticed that the actress from the series «Only Murders in the Building» took a mirror selfie in which, in their opinion, her ring finger was hidden under two pink hearts.
«They're engaged, right?» wrote one user X under a viral post last week featuring an image of Selena and Benny. «Is she engaged?» added another to the conversation.
Another account X tweeted that the famous gossip site DeuxMoi claims that a source reported that Selena and Benny got engaged last weekend. However, no other publication has reported any news of an engagement. Furthermore, neither the Disney Channel actress nor the producer have publicly discussed these rumors.
While they may be engaged at the moment or not, Benny previously talked about his future plans with Selena. During a conversation with Howard Stern in May, the host pressed Benny on when he plans to propose.
«When I look at her… I always just think, I don’t know a world that could be better than right now», - Benny enthusiastically said at the time. Although he was still playing coy when it came to engagement questions, the songwriter agreed with Howard that he also predicts marriage in their future.
