20 november 2024 в 16:13
Luke Bryan married his college sweetheart, Caroline Boyer, in 2006. They met seven years prior when both were students at the University of Southern Georgia. Luke was a senior and Caroline was a freshman, and they became friends after meeting at a bar one evening. Although they parted ways, they reconnected five years later when Luke was performing in their university town and Caroline was also nearby.
After Luke and Caroline’s wedding in December 2006, they had two children. Their eldest son is Thomas Boyer «Bo» Bryan, and their youngest is Tatum «Tate» Christopher Bryan. In addition to their two biological children, Luke and Caroline also began caring for their nephew and two nieces in 2014 after both of their parents passed away.
All of Luke’s biological and adopted children will undoubtedly be cheering for him at the 2024 CMA Awards ceremony. The «Country Girl» singer will be hosting the show alongside Peyton Manning. He is also scheduled to perform a medley of his hit songs! Learn all about Luke and Caroline’s family below!
Bo Bryan was born on March 18, 2008, making him 15 years old, and Tate Bryan was born on August 11, 2010, making him 13 years old. Both boys often appear on their parents' Instagram, where Caroline posts many home photos and videos to show what life is like in the Bryan family. Bo and Tate seem to have inherited their parents' fun personalities, and they enjoy fishing as a hobby, just like their famous father. Over the years, Bo and Tate have also made appearances on various Luke Bryan shows.
«I'm definitely in the golden years [with the boys]», - Luke told People in July 2021. «It's like the sweet spot of being a dad right now, and you can let them join in». He added, «Their personalities are really different. They become your friends. I mean, they’re still your kids, you still have to discipline and teach them right from wrong in life, but they really become your friends».
Now that his boys are a bit older, Luke admitted that, while he may be a country superstar to his fans, to his sons he is still «just dad». «I'll never forget on Father’s Day, my 15-year-old son said, 'Happy Father’s Day, dad, to the guy who has more fun than anyone.' I loved that quote», - he told People in 2023. «They don’t care. When I come home, they don’t care. They don’t care if I played 10 shows or anything else. They just want to go have fun with dad and do guy stuff. And especially when we can all do it together».
Through his sister Kelly, Luke has three nieces and nephews. Kelly unexpectedly passed away in 2007 at the age of 39 for unknown reasons. Seven years later, in 2014, her husband, Ben Lee Cheshire, also passed away, leaving their three children without both parents. The youngest child of the family, Tilden «Til» Cheshire, was only 12 at the time, and Luke and Caroline officially adopted him.
«We never once thought about it», - Caroline admitted in an interview with ABC News in 2017. «You know, it was never a topic for us. 'Should we take this on?' We just did it». Obviously, adopting a 12-year-old was a serious challenge for Caroline and Luke, who had to start raising a teenager instantly.
Til immediately became an older brother to Bo and Tate, who were six and four years old respectively when their family’s world was shaken. He has very close relationships with both boys, who clearly look up to him. «Can't believe my little buddy is 11 today», - Til wrote on Instagram in honor of Tate’s birthday in August 2021. «Happy birthday, Tate! Love you, buddy».
In 2020, Til left Nashville for college at the University of Georgia. Caroline expressed her thoughts on her eldest son leaving the nest on Instagram. «Left a big mark on my heart», - she wrote
