«We were like, 'If it happens, it happens. If not, that’s okay too,'» she explained, describing their beachside ceremony. «We all go into the water and have a good time, and I just said, 'Morgan [her best friend]… why don’t you just do this right now?' And she said 'Okay.'»
Jordin is a mother of one child: her son, Dana Isaiah «DJ» Jr. She gave birth to DJ in May 2018. During an interview with Us Weekly two years later, Jordin said that she and her husband do not plan on having more children.
«Yes, I’m content with one. We’re both content», - she told the publication in 2020, before explaining, «As a mom, knowing myself and going through it for the first time, I just think, 'You know, I want to focus on DJ.' Because trying to split the attention from Dana to DJ was a lot for me. I’m a giver. I love being nurturing, and I just don’t know if I could nurture myself as well if I expanded».
Jordin noted that «being able to express what [DJ] wants was really, really nice, especially during this time when he can run around the park [during the COVID-19 pandemic]». She called her son a «champion» for how he handled the lockdowns of 2020.
