Since then, the former Hollywood executive producer has become one of the most disgraceful names in the industry after more than 80 women came forward with accusations against him. Since his scandals were exposed in 2017, the Weinstein family, including his adult daughters and former spouses, including his first wife Georgina Chapman and second wife Eve Chilton, have reportedly distanced themselves from him.
However, in 2020, Weinstein’s conviction on two felony sexual charges was overturned by the New York Court of Appeals in April 2024, as announced by his representative Juda Engelmeier, who said he is «cautiously happy».
«He still has a long way to go because of the case in Los Angeles», - Engelmeier told Deadline. «We are currently studying the implications of the appeal».
