Hayden Panettiere’s family supports Klitschko in custody of their daughter

Hayden Panettiere’s family supports the actress’s ex-fiancé, Wladimir Klitschko, in his request to be appointed guardian of the estate of their 11-year-old daughter, Kaya. According to Us Weekly, the Panettiere family does not plan to contest Kaya’s inheritance after Klitschko filed for guardianship.
Klitschko, who is 50 years old, submitted a petition earlier this month to become the temporary guardian of his daughter’s estate. Following Panettiere’s death in August, Kaya became the sole heir to her mother’s assets. Since Kaya is a minor, the court may appoint a guardian while the estate proceedings are underway.
In his statement, Klitschko noted that it is «necessary and urgent» to appoint him as temporary guardian so that he can file for Panettiere’s estate and have the authority to appoint an administrator for her assets. He emphasized that without immediate appointment, there is a high risk of loss or damage to the property belonging to Panettiere’s estate, which would negatively impact Kaya as the sole heir.
Panettiere and Klitschko were in a relationship from 2009 to 2018, and they welcomed Kaya in 2014. After their split in 2018, Panettiere granted custody of their daughter to Klitschko, who primarily resides in Ukraine with Kaya.
Us Weekly confirmed that Panettiere passed away at the age of 36 due to «toxic effects» of fentanyl and other drugs, according to the coroner’s report. Klitschko has vowed to honor Panettiere’s legacy for the sake of Kaya.
