16 june 2025 в 20:13
Lee was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010 and officially took office on January 3, 2011. A member of the Republican Party, he won his seat during the «Tea Party» movement and has since established himself as one of the most vocal constitutional conservatives in the Senate. Lee has been re-elected twice, most recently in 2022, and continues to serve as Utah’s senior senator. Over the years, he has become known for his strict adherence to principles of limited government and his role in influential committees, such as the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Lee is a practicing member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and his faith plays a central role in both his personal life and political worldview. He often references his religious values when forming his positions on family, morality, and the role of government. As a native of Utah, Lee’s connection to the Latter-day Saints community runs deep, and he remains an active participant in church events and public discussions on religious freedom.
