The sister of the late Ken Urquhart, Autumn, expressed her dissatisfaction with the public comments made by Gypsy Rose Blanchard following the shocking death of her ex-partner at the age of 34. In an interview with The Daily Mail published on October 3, Autumn stated, «We are outraged by her statements! She didn’t even call my mother or any of us».
Ken Urquhart was found dead on his 34th birthday, October 1, at his home in Raceland, Louisiana. A representative from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Urquhart «was found dead upon arrival» and that there were «no signs of foul play» at the scene. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
Gypsy Rose later told TMZ that she sent Ken a text message wishing him a happy birthday but did not receive a response. Her half-brother and sister, Dylan and Anita Blanchard, went to see Ken along with his boss, Justin Daigle, and found him unconscious on the bed.
After news of Urquhart’s death broke, Gypsy Rose told People magazine that she was unsure whether his death was «intentional or not». In her statement, she described Ken as an «amazing father» and a person who was «deeply loved». She added that she would take care of their daughter, Aurora, so that she would know how much her father loved her.
Autumn accused Gypsy Rose of distorting the facts about her relationship with Ken, claiming that they had broken up by the time of his death. She also noted that Gypsy Rose was seeking attention without caring about the consequences for those around her. Autumn recalled that in their last conversation, Ken told her he wanted to bring Aurora «home» to her mother and felt that he had «let Aurora down because of Gypsy».
Autumn characterized her late brother as a «great man» who always supported others and expressed regret that his life ended so soon. Us magazine reached out to a representative for Gypsy Rose for comments.
