Ken Urquhart’s sister spoke about his fears of death

Ken Urquhart’s sister, Autumn, stated in an interview with the Daily Mail published on October 9 that her brother slept with a gun next to his bed before his death. She claims that Urquhart felt the need for extra protection, as he had previously reported receiving death threats to her.

Autumn recounted that the day before the tragedy, they had communicated, and Urquhart planned to call her back. She remembered reminding him about a video call with the children that was supposed to take place later, to which he replied, «Okay, let them call me». She does not believe he could have harmed his daughter Aurora or their mother, and the family believes he did not do this intentionally.

Ken Urquhart was found dead in his home in Louisiana on October 1, the day of his 34th birthday. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed as an investigation is ongoing. Urquhart left behind a 21-month-old daughter, Aurora, whom he was raising with Blanchard. In her statement on social media, Blanchard noted that Ken was a wonderful father and a person who was deeply loved. She also reported that Urquhart had been a victim of cyberbullying before his death and suggested the enactment of a new law in his honor to combat online harassment.
