Nicole Brown’s sisters shared a rare insight into the lives of their late sister’s children. During a new interview, Denise, Dominique, and Tanya Brown emphasized that Nicole’s adult children, Sydney and Justin, whom she shared with O.J. Simpson, «want to be left alone» as they try to lead a «normal life».
«Sydney and Justin have their own families», - said Dominique, 59, to Entertainment Tonight in an interview published on Wednesday, May 29. «They lead normal lives. They want to be left alone, and they have their own children».
Dominique also noted that the Simpsons «lived in a community» that «created a bubble around the children» to protect them from public gossip. «Our neighboring Safeway supermarket didn’t display magazines».
Denise, 66, added that while Sydney, 38, and Justin, 35, were «doing family things» with them in their childhood, Nicole’s sisters made sure they didn’t see any hint of the investigation and trial of their now deceased father in the 1990s.
«Our TVs were all on VCR, except for my dad’s», - said Denise, adding that the children «didn't see anything» at the time. Denise also asked the public to «please leave them alone».
«They just want to live a normal and happy life», - Denise added. «They don’t have both parents. It’s hard for them. It’s sad. I don’t know if it’s hard, but it’s sad for them. And I think their private life is important to them».
Now, as the two-part documentary «The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson» is set to be released on June 1, Nicole’s sisters said they are not sure if Sydney and Justin will watch it.
«There are so many good stories about mom», - said Tanya, 54. «But then they will hear how terrible of a father he was, how terrible of a husband, a terrible person… I don’t know if they have a good or bad perception of him. But it would hurt me if they had such a good relationship with their father, and then suddenly saw this and saw a completely different person»
