Your friends and neighbors gifted the internet one of the most iconic memes thanks to the dance scene featuring Jon Hamm. Now that we are already in the second season of the show, the actor immerses viewers in the chaotic story of Coop, a divorced hedge fund manager who becomes obsessed with a new lifestyle. However, in addition to him, viewers can observe the development of the backstories of secondary characters.
Hollywood Life has prepared a rundown of everything you need to know about the second season of «Your Friends and Neighbors» below!
The second season of «Your Friends and Neighbors» premiered on April 3.
All episodes of the first season are available for viewing on Apple TV. New episodes of the second season are released on the platform every Friday.
Jon is supported by his co-stars Olivia Munn, Amanda Peet, Hoon Lee, Lena Hall, Amy Carrero, Isabel Gravitt, Donovan Colan, and James Marsden, who joined the show in the second season as the mysterious and wealthy new character Owen Ash.
In an exclusive interview with Hollywood Life ahead of the second season premiere, Amanda, who plays Mel, Coop’s ex-wife, hinted at what fans can expect from the relationship between the ex-spouses after they shared a kiss in the first season.
«I think there’s always that connection, that chemistry between them, and even when they fight, they fight over parenting», - Amanda said shortly after announcing her breast cancer diagnosis in a powerful essay. «Mel gets into serious trouble because she loses her temper due to her menopausal rage. So in this season, I feel like [Mel and Coop] are kind of going down parallel paths. They are both sliding into extreme mischief, but I wonder if that’s why they are so connected».
As the season progresses, Hall also exclusively told Hollywood Life about her character’s new position at school and how Ali is coping with her bipolar disorder.
«Ali doesn’t have [big ambitions]», - Hall admitted, adding, «Her musical ambitions are mostly about surviving and just doing it because she loves it. That’s her ambition».
Hall also noted that her character resonates with a wide audience because «she's not necessarily amazing; she’s not a star, right?»
«She's just struggling every day to prove to herself that she can survive without breaking», - the actress added.
The second season of the series consists of a total of 10 episodes. The finale of the second season will be available for viewing on June 5, 2026.
Yes! Apple TV has renewed the series for a third season. This news came two months before the premiere of the second season
