Shannen Doherty reportedly filed a statement to end her divorce battle with her ex-husband Kurt Iswarienko just a day before her death on Saturday, July 13. The documents were reviewed by E! News, stating that they reached an agreement just over a year after they first filed for divorce. They agreed on their domestic and partnership rights, the publication reports.
The publication noted that it was an «uncontested» statement, and that the «parties entered into a written agreement» before Shannen’s death at the age of 53. The documents terminated Shannen’s support from her ex-husband, and she waived her rights to alimony from the photographer.
Before her death, Shannen expressed concerns that her ex-husband was waiting for her death to avoid paying alimony in a statement in June. «It's just wrong for Kurt to be allowed to drag out our divorce in the hopes that I will die before he has to pay me», - she wrote, according to the publication. «While he continues to live his life and shirk his responsibilities to his dying wife of over 11 years».
She also accused him of spending large sums of money on other expenses without paying alimony, but Kurt’s lawyers denied these allegations.
Kurt was Shannen’s third husband. She was first married to Ashley Hamilton for less than a year from October 1993 to April 1994. In 2002, she married poker player Rick Salomon, but their marriage was annulled after nine months. She married Kurt in 2011, and they were together during her first battle with cancer, and they were together when it returned in 2020. She filed for divorce in April 2023 after 12 years of marriage.
