Sherron Moore arrested and fired after scandal with colleague
Former head coach of the University of Michigan football team, Sheron Moore, left many personal items in his office when he was arrested and fired in December of last year. According to documents obtained by Sportico on October 8, among the items left behind were a wedding ring, a Bible, a police badge, ammonia, a bottle of whiskey, a box of Fruit Loops cereal, and six bottles of cologne.

It is reported that text messages indicate that Moore’s representative began the process of retrieving his belongings shortly after the arrest, and the university quickly agreed to this. Moore’s office also contained 36 books, 46 photographs, 21 notebooks, 10 mugs, 15 folders, 22 binders, 67 hats, 86 casual shirts, 87 sweatshirts and hoodies, 63 pairs of shoes, including dress shoes and sneakers, 15 suits, 16 shirts, 39 pairs of pants, 14 pairs of sweatpants, 33 pairs of shorts, 57 pairs of socks, and two pairs of sandals.

Sheron Moore was fired by the University of Michigan on December 10, 2025, after it became known about his «inappropriate relationship» with an employee later identified as Paige Shiver. On the same day, Moore was arrested after reportedly attempting to enter Shiver’s apartment, where she claimed he threatened her and hinted at intentions to harm himself.

Shiver, 32, later reported that she became pregnant by Moore during their affair but terminated the pregnancy after the fetus was diagnosed with Pompe syndrome, a genetic disorder that weakens muscle strength. She claimed that Moore supported her decision, urging her to «do what is right for your body».

Moore, who has three daughters with his wife Kelly, was charged with felony home invasion, stalking, and unlawful entry, but all these charges were eventually dropped. During a court hearing in March, Moore pleaded guilty to new charges of unlawful use of a telecommunications device in the context of domestic violence and disorderly conduct. In April, he was sentenced to 18 months of probation, allowing him to avoid jail time. In court, he thanked «the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for His grace and guidance during this difficult time» and expressed gratitude to his wife Kelly for her support.
