The Last Frontier begins with the shocking crash of a transport plane with prisoners in a remote Alaskan wilderness, releasing dozens of dangerous criminals onto the frozen landscape. As a result, a veteran US marshal and a small isolated community are forced to confront escalating chaos. But as tensions rise, the marshal begins to suspect that the crash was no accident, and that a much more sinister conspiracy is unfolding beneath the surface.
