Sean «Diddy» Combs' release date postponed to March 2, 2028
The release date of Sean «Diddy» Combs from prison has been postponed again after details of his lavish life behind bars emerged. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the 56-year-old rapper is now scheduled to be released from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey on March 2, 2028, whereas his previous release date was set for January 21, 2028.

The Bureau of Prisons told People magazine that for reasons of privacy, security, and protection, it does not comment on the conditions of inmates, including the reasons for changes in release dates. In response, a representative for Diddy stated that they never receive explanations on how the Bureau calculates or adjusts projected release dates and cannot comment on the reasons for the changes. He added that Sean is focused on serving his sentence, awaiting a decision on his appeal, and looking forward to spending time with family after his release.

Earlier this month, reports surfaced that Diddy had been placed back in a special solitary confinement unit as his incarceration continues amid allegations that he is living a luxurious lifestyle in prison. According to NBC News, Diddy spends thousands of dollars a month to maintain part of his former lavish lifestyle, including hiring chefs and cleaners. It is also reported that he receives massages and assistance with household chores.

However, Diddy’s representative denied reports about his life in prison, including rumors of a secret stash of expensive alcohol. He noted that media attention to every detail of Sean’s life in prison has reached a point where ordinary conditions of confinement are being perceived as news.

Diddy is serving a four-year sentence for two offenses related to transportation for prostitution, for which he was sentenced in July 2025. He began serving his 50-month sentence two months after the verdict. During the widely publicized trial, Diddy maintained his innocence and filed an appeal, awaiting a court decision.
