The official release date for «Shrek 5» has not yet been set, but Eddie Murphy, who voices Donkey, hinted at a release date in 2025 in an interview with Collider on June 24, 2024.

While only Eddie has confirmed his participation, it seems that most of the original actors from the main cast will reprise their roles (such as Mike Myers as Shrek, Cameron Diaz as Fiona, and Antonio Banderas as Puss in Boots).
