The thriller starring Sidney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried sounds like a dream, and it has come true! The top-class actresses will lead the Lionsgate film «The Maid». The star of «Euphoria» will play the role of Millie, and the graduate of «The Dropout» will play the role of Nina. Sidney recently appeared in thrillers «Perfection» and «Eden», while Amanda starred in the 2023 series «Overcrowded Room» with Tom Holland.

«The Maid» tells the story of a struggling young woman named Millie, who starts a new life working as a maid for the wealthy couple Nina and Andrew. According to the film’s plot, «Millie soon learns that family secrets are much more dangerous than her own». The film is based on the bestseller of the same name.
A message about the project from Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Vice President Erin Westerman was published in Deadline: «Part of the pleasure of the book was imagining the actors as we read it, and Sidney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried are perfect for the roles of Millie and Nina — they are both mysterious, nuanced, and incredibly talented at becoming characters who don’t reveal everything at once. We are excited to bring them together with [director] Paul Feig, with whom we worked on 'A Simple Favor' and its upcoming sequel, and who has a proven track record of developing stories with dynamic female leads».
According to Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Chairman Adam Fogelson, he is «thrilled that 'The Maid' is joining our upcoming slate».
