Simone Biles has completed her third Olympic Games, so it’s time for the greatest gymnast of all time to treat herself. The 27-year-old athlete revealed that she has upgraded her car and shared it on social media.
Turning to her Instagram stories on Thursday, August 22, Simone posted a photo of herself standing next to her black Mercedes-Benz G-Class. Hinting at the upgrade, she wrote: «Goodbye, old» next to the picture, and then posted another story with the caption: «Hello, NEW», featuring an image of Simone sitting in her new white Mercedes-Benz G 550 SUV 2025 with a white bow on the windshield.
The summer was intense for the gymnast. After her long-awaited return in Paris, Simone helped the US team win a gold medal. She also won two additional gold medals — one in the women’s individual all-around and another in the women’s vault final, as well as a silver medal in the women’s floor exercise final.
Simone was also asked to pass the official Olympic flag to Tom Cruise during the closing ceremony. She called it a «huge honor» in an Instagram post published on August 12.
«I can’t find the right words to describe my Olympic experience, it was a whirlwind», - she captioned her post. «But I know I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to represent the United States».
Tom, 62, even commented on Simone’s emotional post, saying that it was «an absolute honor to receive the Olympic flag from her over the weekend». The «Mission Impossible» star continued to praise Simone’s talents, calling her «one of a kind».
Three years ago, Simone made headlines after withdrawing from the team competition at the Tokyo Olympics. At that time, she faced the «twisties», - a condition where a gymnast cannot determine their position in the air during spins and flips. After facing harsh and widespread criticism from viewers, Simone shared her journey between the Tokyo and Paris games.
«It was important to me because no one was forcing me to go out on that stage», - Simone told CNN on August 6. «I did it just for myself, and I am in a very good mental and physical state. So to do it just for myself meant a lot to me»
