Are you ready for this? Simone Biles is definitely ready for this. The Olympic gymnast showcased her skills with a floor routine to Taylor Swift’s song «Ready for It?» during the Olympic trials on Friday, June 28. The 27-year-old Simone absolutely impressed with her performance, and it also received approval from Taylor herself, who is 34. To further show that she is truly ready for this, Simone qualified for the team at the Paris Olympics after her routine.
As the song began, Simone struck a variety of poses against the bass intro. As the music sped up and intensified, Simone ran to perform flips and wheels, successfully landing at the moment the bass dropped. She struck even more poses as the instrumental version of the song continued. A few seconds into the song, she transitioned to more fitting melodies that perfectly complemented the gold medalist’s performance.
The day after the video was posted, Taylor showed that she was absolutely thrilled with Simone’s performance. She approved of what the gymnast was doing. «Watched this so many times and still not ready. She’s ready for this, though», - she wrote with applause emojis, as well as a gold medal, American flag, and heart.
Taylor is not the only superstar rooting for Simone during the Olympic trials. When the athlete posted a photo on Instagram from the qualifying event, SZA left a comment in support. «Let's go, baby, let’s go!» the singer wrote.
