The gubernatorial race in North Carolina has become the focus of attention due to a report concerning Mark Robinson. Although the Republican candidate denies rumors that he is planning to withdraw from the race, voters are still not convinced. Given his history of socially conservative rhetoric, the report about Robinson shocked many of his supporters because of the content of alleged posts he published over ten years ago.
According to CNN, Robinson posted several graphic sexual and racist comments on a porn site called «Nude Africa» from 2008 to 2012. The media reported that he used the nickname «minisoldr» on this platform. Robinson denied ever posting comments on the site.
«This is not us. These are not our words», - Robinson said in response to the report. «And this is not characteristic of me. I will not go into details of how someone came up with these scandalous tabloid lies».
The media reported that Robinson had previously referred to himself as a «black Nazi» on the porn site, and allegedly indicated that he was not against slavery.
«Slavery is not bad», - Robinson allegedly wrote, according to CNN. «Some people need to be slaves. I would like them to bring it back. I would definitely buy a few».
Additionally, Robinson allegedly claimed to enjoy watching porn with transgender individuals.
«I love watching porn with transsexuals! It’s damn hot!» he allegedly wrote. «It takes the man out of you, leaving him inside! And yes, I’m also a 'pervert'!»
Despite the controversy surrounding him, Robinson has no plans to withdraw from the gubernatorial race. According to The Guardian, he said, «We will not allow them to do this. We are staying in this race. We are in it to win».
