In response to the accusations and The Post’s report, Prince’s lawyer, A. Boon Almanza, stated that the athlete «categorically denies ever assaulting anyone in her life, mentally, emotionally, or physically».
«Unfortunately, others have chosen to use Sedona as a stepping stone for their careers», - Almanza claimed in a statement. «To ensure some privacy in relationships, Sedona asked friends to sign non-disclosure agreements because their personal, intimate moments should not be subject to public discussion».
In a subsequent statement obtained by ESPN, Almanza noted that Prince «has not been charged with a crime or found guilty of any actions».
«Rather, she has been condemned on social media by people who tried to use their relationships with Sedona to attract followers and build their careers as influential figures and settle their grievances», - the second statement from Almanza read. «To the extent that she made any mistakes, different from other young people in their early dating lives, it was solely a decision to be on TikTok».
WNBA did not publicly disclose the reason for Prince’s absence from the 2025 draft. However, the Fort Worth Star Telegram reported that the violence allegations against Prince likely affected her draft chances.
