Season 8 of the show «Love Island USA» has not yet started, but a wave of dramatic events has already hit this reality series. Vasana Montgomery was removed from the show shortly after her casting was announced just a few days before the season premiere.

Since the audience has not yet had a chance to get to know Vasana, many are eager to learn more about her. Below, Hollywood Life has gathered all the information we know about this rising reality star.

Vasana likely has an Instagram account, but at the time of publication, it appears to have been deactivated.

Vasana is from Beaverton, Oregon.

According to TMZ and Deadline, Vasana was removed from the cast of Season 8 of «Love Island USA» after videos surfaced showing her using the N-word. A representative from Peacock told Deadline that these clips were private property and had not been released until Vasana’s casting announcement.

As fans of «Love Island» know, Vasana is not the first rising reality star to be removed from the popular show. Last year, after the premiere of Season 7 in June 2025, Yulissa Escobar was forced to leave the Villa shortly after a video surfaced in which she repeatedly used a racial slur.

«First of all, I want to apologize for using a word that I had no right to use», - Yulissa wrote on Instagram at the time. «Podcast clips recorded many years ago recently resurfaced, and I want to address this directly. In those clips, I used a word that I should never have used, a racial slur. I used it unconsciously, not understanding the full weight, history, and pain associated with it. I did not mean to hurt or harm anyone, but now I understand that intent does not justify the consequences. And the consequences of that word are real. It is tied to generations of trauma, and I have no right to use it».

A few weeks later, Season 7 contestant Sierra Ortega was also forced to leave the show after it was revealed that she had used an anti-Asian slur in the past. She released a statement taking responsibility for her actions.

«I want to start by addressing not only those I hurt or deeply offended but, more importantly, the entire Asian community», - Sierra said in a video at the time. «I am sincerely, truly, very sorry. I did not know that this word carried such pain and harm and was tied to such a history; otherwise, I would have never used it. I had no malicious intent when I used it. But that is absolutely no excuse because intent does not justify ignorance»
