The latest person to testify was Kid Cudi (real name: Scott Mescudi), who claimed that he received threats of violence from the «Last Night» performer when he briefly dated Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

According to Kid Cudi, he and Cassie briefly dated in 2011. He told the court, as reported by the BBC, that he knew Diddy and Cassie were «no longer together» when the rapper «Better Place» began dating her. Cassie herself claimed that her brief romance with Kid Cudi angered Diddy so much that the Bad Boy Records artist, according to her, threatened them.
Kid Cudi stated that Diddy barged into his home when he started dating Cassie. In December 2011, Kid Cudi claimed he heard Cassie sounding «tense» and «scared» on a phone call, so he took her to a hotel in Los Angeles for the night because he thought she would feel «safer away from him».
While at the hotel, Kid Cudi claimed their friend informed him that Diddy was at his house. Kid Cudi went home and called Diddy, who, he said, told him: «I'm here waiting for you». Kid Cudi claimed that upon arriving home, he found his security cameras damaged, his things ransacked, and his dog locked in the bathroom. Combs was not on the scene.
«I wanted to confront him, I wanted to argue with him», - Kid Cudi said in court. Instead, he filed a police report against Diddy, but the threats, he said, did not stop. The rapper told the court that in January 2012, a Molotov cocktail was thrown at his Porsche, setting the car on fire.
However, the suspect in the car attack was never identified. Combs' defense questioned Kid Cudi about the Porsche incident, and the rapper confirmed that no witnesses saw Diddy or his accomplices near his car
