The death of Frank Fritz shocked fans of the reality show earlier this week. A native of Iowa, he passed away while under palliative care. He was 60 years old, according to various sources. Frank’s television show partner and longtime friend Mike Wolfe shared the news on Instagram, revealing when Frank passed away.
«With a heavy heart, I share with you that Frank passed away last night», - Mike wrote in a touching caption. «I have known Frank for more than half of my life, and what you saw on TV was always the same as I saw him, a dreamer who was as sensitive as he was funny. Just as he was off-camera, Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many, just by being himself».
Mike continued in his post: «Who would have ever thought that we would be sharing the cab of a white cargo van in front of millions of people interested in our adventures? Before the show, we would set off together to places we didn’t know existed, with no specific destination, just with a common desire to discover something interesting and historical. We took countless trips and shared so many miles, and I feel blessed to have been there when he made his final journey home».
Frank’s friend concluded his caption by writing: «I love you, buddy, and I will miss you very much. I know you are in a better place».
