Costume designer Rodney Munoz, who worked with Jimmy Kimmel, has died
Rodney Munoz, a costume designer known for his work on the show «Jimmy Kimmel Live!», passed away at the age of 60. This was announced by Jimmy Kimmel on Instagram on October 8, where he shared several photos of Munoz and his work, including images of Kimmel dressed as Snow White and in the guise of Mr. Potato Head.

Kimmel noted that Munoz was one of the most talented people he knew, describing him as «a funny, tough, and hard-working person with a big and generous heart». He added that Munoz helped many during difficult times and was «a devoted son, brother, and uncle, an excellent baker, and a caring friend». Kimmel also joked that «no one has seen him in his underwear more than Rodney».

The cause and circumstances of Munoz’s death have not yet been disclosed. He worked as a costume designer at ABC Studios for nearly 24 years and previously spent 22 years at CBS, creating costumes for David Letterman on «The Late Show». Munoz also worked in the costume and wardrobe department on «Fear Factor» and styled Kimmel for the Oscars in 2018.

Munoz’s death marks the second loss for the «Jimmy Kimmel Live!» team following the death of bandleader Cleto Escobedo III in November 2025. Escobedo died from cardiogenic shock complicated by a liver transplant. Kimmel had previously expressed his condolences on Instagram, calling Escobedo «a great friend, father, son, and musician».
