Comedian Scott «Carrot Top» Thompson spoke out after being hospitalized following an alleged suicide attempt. In his Instagram post on October 17, he thanked everyone for their support and kind words, noting that they mean more to him than one can imagine.
Thompson was hospitalized in Las Vegas after an incident that was widely reported as a suicide attempt. As a result, several of his comedy shows were canceled. The comedian’s representative, Jamie Schlicher, stated that he is recovering in the hospital and receiving the necessary help. She also expressed gratitude to family and friends for their care and requested privacy.
Two days later, Schlicher reported that Thompson is under medical supervision but is already breathing on his own and continues to improve. At that time, he was sharing humorous moments with the medical staff, which has always been an important part of his life.

After that, Thompson sent a message with one word—"done"—after which he could not be reached. He was later found unconscious in the backyard.
