Complicated breakup: Rudy Gobert’s ex-girlfriend told her side of the story

It seems that Rudy Gobert and his now ex-girlfriend Julia Bonilla had a difficult breakup. Pregnant with their second child, Julia shared her side of the story on social media in May 2025 — and she did not hold back her emotions.
«I am going through one of the most painful periods in my life, feeling isolated, far from my family and friends», - Bonilla wrote on her Instagram Stories after news of their breakup became known. «I considered Rudy the love of my life. I gave up everything for him. I gave him a child and put all my soul into our relationship. … When everyone criticized and insulted him, I stood by his side, always putting him first and choosing him, always. No matter how they treated me, I choose to defend his name for the sake of my children».
Julia added that she «NEVER EVER cheated on the father of her children». Rudy confirmed their breakup and stated that he will «continue to support the well-being of all the people I care about», - according to TMZ.

Like Rudy, Julia is from France and hails from Paris, according to her blog «Julia BNL».
During the day, Julia is an art director and agent, and at night she hosts her podcast «Voyage» in French.
In February 2024, Rudy and Julia confirmed their relationship on Instagram when the «Minnesota Timberwolves» player posted a photo of him embracing Julia’s pregnant belly. The couple was expecting their first child, and Julia gave birth to their son, Romeo.
That same year, Rudy and Julia took a trip to Utah together when he was playing for the «Jazz» at the time.
«My girlfriend is here for the first time, so we showed her a little walk that I always go on», - the basketball center told KSL Sports in March 2024. «It was tough for her because she’s pregnant, but she really enjoyed it, and she knows how much it means to me and how much Utah is a part of me, so it was cool».
Since Romeo was born in May 2024, Julia is now pregnant with Rudy’s second child
