The TV show Yellowstone captivates viewers with its intense drama, complex characters, and stunning landscapes. As the Dutton family fights to protect their ranch in a dangerous world of power struggles and corruption, the show has become a cultural phenomenon.

Find out about the deaths of characters in this season and much more.

The Dutton family lost another member in episode 12 of season 5 of Yellowstone — Colby Mayfield (played by Denim Richards). In an interview with Entertainment Weekly after the episode aired, Denim shared that the show’s creator Taylor Sheridan «really emphasizes the realities of cowboy life» through Colby’s death.

«We have a saying that everyone falls off their horse at some point in their life», - said Richards. «It happens, so I think there’s an element here where I really want to emphasize that this is reality. It’s kind of poetic because in the third season, Colby was trampled by a horse in the river a few times».

In addition to the sad departure of Mayfield, the show also saw the exit of one of its major characters earlier in the season. In episode 9, John Dutton (Kevin Costner) was written off the show after the actor’s departure. And in episode 11, Sarah Atwood (played by Donna Olivieri) met her end at the hands of hired killers in a minivan.

The next episode of season 13 of Yellowstone airs on Sunday, December 8, at 8:00 pm Eastern Time.

Yellowstone finally returned on November 10 at 8:00 pm Eastern Time with the second half of season 5 (or 5B). New episodes will continue to air on Sundays at 8:00 pm Eastern Time until December 15.

If you have regular cable television, you can watch Yellowstone on Paramount Network. The premiere of season 5B also aired on CBS on November 10 at 10:00 pm Eastern Time, but this will be the only episode that will air on the network at this time.

After airing, Yellowstone will be available for viewing on Peacock thanks to a pre-licensing deal between Paramount Network and Peacock, dating back to the launch of Paramount+.

All five seasons of Yellowstone are currently available for viewing on Peacock, so you can catch up on missed episodes while waiting for new ones.

It seems that season 5 will be the last for Yellowstone. Paramount has not yet confirmed that season 6 is in development, and show creator Taylor Sheridan has stated that the second part of season 5 will be the last for the series
