During the ICE operation in Minneapolis on January 7, 2026, Good, 37, was in her car when agents approached her vehicle. After the agents gave conflicting commands, Good attempted to drive away, after which one of them opened fire. The incident occurred around 9:30 AM local time.
Federal officials and the White House defended the ICE agent who fired, blaming Good for attempting to run over the agent. President Donald Trump reacted to video of Good’s shooting in a post on Truth Social. He wrote, «I just watched the video of the incident that took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is terrible to watch. The woman screaming was obviously a professional provocateur, and the woman behind the wheel was very uncontrollable, obstructing and resisting, after which she brutally, intentionally, and maliciously ran over an ICE officer, who apparently fired in self-defense».
The Republican president then accused the «radical left» of provoking the incident, allegedly «threatening» and «attacking» law enforcement.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey told ICE agents to «get the hell out» of the city at a press conference later that same day.
«We have feared this moment since the early days of ICE’s presence in Minneapolis», - Frey said. «This was a federal agent recklessly using their power, resulting in the death of a person».
Frey expressed his condolences to Good’s family: «To the family of the deceased — we are very sorry. There are no words that could make this moment better. Our hearts are with you».
According to the GoFundMe page, Good was the wife of her long-time partner, whose name is not mentioned on the fundraising page. Good had previously been married twice, according to multiple sources. Her first marriage was to her ex-husband, and the second was to her late husband, who died in 2023 at the age of 36.
Yes, Good was the mother of several children, according to The Guardian. She is survived by a 15-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old son from her first marriage, as well as a 6-year-old son from her second marriage
