Sofia Vergara admitted that she felt insecure before filming a sex scene for the series Griselda

Sofia Vergara’s charm and wit can convince fans that she is always confident, but even the 51-year-old actress from the series «Modern Family» has moments of self-doubt. During a recent event in Los Angeles, the actress admitted that she felt insecure while filming a sex scene for her intense Netflix series, «Grizelda».
«I don’t think I’ve ever done a sex scene. With Jay [on «Modern Family"] I didn’t do anything», - she said during the Netflix FYSEE event in Los Angeles last weekend, according to The Sun. «I was like, 'Where are they shooting me? Cellulite? On the side. Oh, I’m vain, I guess. That kept me awake, I think».
However, Sofia admitted that the final edit «turned out well».
«It's really dark, and Andy [Andres Baiz], the director, is very artistic, and he made me feel super comfortable and said, 'We'll never linger on you [on camera] for long,'» she explained.
Approaching the character — inspired by the real «Cocaine Godmother» Griselda Blanco — the star of «New Year’s Eve» wanted her to «look real», so she wore a prosthetic nose, false teeth, and extra makeup for the transformation.
«And so it took me forever, and I couldn’t find a way to do tests and all that», - she noted. «I wanted her to look from that time [the 1970s]. But she also needed to be [sexy]. She needed to have something, because she had, like, three husbands. She could conquer guys».
As the transformation into Griselda took hours, Sofia recalled having to remove all the prosthetics and makeup.
«The first, like, three weeks, taking all that off took an hour and something at night», - she said. «Imagine, after 16 hours you have to sit and take all that off. So the makeup artist did it. … The wig, I couldn’t take off the nose or eyebrows. The only thing I could take off during the day was the teeth to eat, but I only had 45 minutes [for] lunch».
Although the role was a physical and emotional sacrifice for the Emmy-nominated actress, Sofia noted that the experience on set «was amazing» and everyone was «very friendly» to work with.
«I've never worked with Latin American actors before, and it was an experience for me», - Sofia said, adding that «I would do it again». However, there is only one thing she wouldn’t do again: «I wouldn’t do that damn prosthetic again», - she concluded
