Actress Sonequa Martin-Green commented on the character Brian, played by Ryan Broussard, surviving a brutal car accident in the series «Boston Blue». In an interview with Us, she expressed relief about this turn of events, noting, «We were all happy. There was a moment when we didn’t know what was going to happen, and then we quickly calmed down».
Martin-Green added that Brian was also glad to remain in the project, as the team had developed a strong «family» atmosphere. She emphasized that the information about the character’s fate did not linger for too long: «When I say 'hot second,' I literally mean a couple of days».
In the episode that aired on October 9, hints were dropped about Brian’s internal struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder. Sonequa shared that this will become an important part of the storyline as Lena tries to support her boyfriend. «They have a history with each other. They’ve gone through near-death experiences and now have to recover together», - she noted.
Additionally, in the new season, Lena will face changes in her relationship with Danny, who will now be a sergeant in the Boston police. «They definitely need to figure out the new dynamic», - the actress added.
