Sean «Diddy» Combs has been in the spotlight for his legal troubles for some time now, but his recent arrest changed everything. After being charged with three felony counts related to organized crime, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution, the rapper offered a sum that was supposed to be secured by his $ 48 million home in Miami. Find out below whether the judge allowed Diddy to be released from custody.

According to various sources, Combs' defense offered a $ 50 million bail, which was supposed to be secured by his $ 48 million home in Miami.

The judge rejected Diddy’s bail offer, and the rapper is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn until his next court hearing. According to CNN, Judge Robin Tarnofsky told Combs that her main concern is that «this crime is happening behind closed doors, even when law enforcement is on watch». Therefore, she denied his request for release from custody.

Diddy’s defense attorney, Mark Agnifilo, told reporters outside the court in New York that his client «came here to surrender».

«Why doesn’t the government want him to surrender? Because then they can’t ask for him to be detained», - Agnifilo said, according to reports. «All we can do is show good will. He got on a plane and flew here. They arrested a guy who came here to surrender».

Agnifilo promised that he will argue his points regarding Diddy again, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges of sex trafficking.

«We will do everything we can until we get him released», - the lawyer said.

Combs was arrested in Manhattan on September 16. The next day, his charges were revealed, and he was officially charged with sex trafficking, organized crime, and transportation for prostitution. The rapper is accused of using his business, Bad Boy Entertainment, to transport sex workers across state lines and coerce people into performing «Freak-Offs», - which Diddy allegedly recorded.
